Back With Holiday Cheer: Lindsay Lohan’s Return To Acting
There are a few key actors who made our childhood with roles in teen movies in the early 2000’s, and Lindsay Lohan was one of them. The former teenage star made heads turn with her stunning red locks, electric green eyes and sparkly smile. From Mean Girls to Freaky Friday, she usually made her way to the home tv screen at a Saturday night sleepover.
While her life may have taken a rough turn due to drug use, Lohan has made an effort to get her life back together and return to work as an actress. For her first comeback back into the business and our hearts, she made her first appearance back with a cute Netflix holiday romcom. This type of work is right up her alley, since she has previously worked with roles that bring out her charming and whimsical personality.
Netflix holiday movies usually do not disappoint, and Falling for Christmas is no expectation. While it is a classically calculated tale of a rich girl turned humble sweetheart, the audience can’t help but love Lohan’s seamless take on the normally cliché character archetype. The chemistry between Lindsay Lohan’s character and her co-star is charismatic, and it feels like Lohan never took a step back from the spotlight.
While it may not be the most mind blowing or original Christmas romcom flick, it seems like this is a great first step towards acting again, and Falling for Christmas will for sure be a classic that can be enjoyed with family for the holidays.
